Canadiana Cupcakes

This doesn't need anymore then two words for a an introduction "Maple" and "Bacon"


1 Box yellow cake mix 

1/4 Cup Flour  

1/3 Vanilla pudding mix (or maple)  

1 Cup water  

1/3 Cup Oil

1/4 Mayonasie  

4 tsp Maple extract  

4 Eggs  

8-10 strips of cooked, drained, finely diced maple bacon.  


Mix together all set ingredients.

Add liquid ingredients (except eggs) and mix to combined.

Add eggs and beat of low-med for 2 minutes. 

Stir in bacon. 

Pour into prepared muffin trays.  

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min.  

Remove to wire rack to cool.  


Once cupcakes are completely cooled mix one container cream cheese frosting with 5-6 drops maple extract. I like to through in a smplash of good maple syrup as well for a stronger flavour.  

Beat to combine and decorate cupcakes. 

You can add a peice of Maple candied bacon or crumbled bacon on top if desired.
