Just over a month to go until my favourite holiday! I have a lot of stuff to get through this next month with cleaning out the garden and processing veggies, winter prep, finishing off some painting and DIY projects, not to mention Thanksgiving in 2 weeks. Yet I simply cannot stop looking at Halloween stuff.
We do all the usual costumes, trick or treating, decor, tons of pumpkins, creepy meals and parties but this year I really feel the need to go "balls out". My girls are 7 now and I feel it's the peak years. Another 5 years and trick or treating will be phased out for parties and such so I really want to go for a increase in our Halloween game this year. Going to try them out in a fun house and really start getting into horror movies.
I love horror films and stories so much, true crime and mysteries are my bag. From the old classics to slashers, B and under ratings and some of the newly done movies. I really cannot wait to get my girls into it. They are already pretty advanced in what they have watched for there age, at least according to other blogs I have read. So I think I am going to hone in on films and ratings and maybe do a few posts with what we are watching and some content for parents. I think it's really important to wade into it but of course push the viewing limit, I mean that is what scaring yourself is about.
Ok enough of that I will ramble on later. Happily my girls are just as into Halloween and had there costume ideas I pointed in July. Costume craze has some amazing deals and I outfitted one of them with all her vampires needs this past weekend during the flash 25% vampires sale.
I have a lot of cute ideas saved that I want to construct this year. Plus pumpkins galore, I freakin love carving pumpkins and all the goey mess to comes with it. I hope I can get it all done in time!
What are you guys planning for this All Hallows' Eve?
