This snack is a perfect spring break movie night staple. Sweet, salty, sticky and oh so satisfying!
There are endless possibilties for flavour combinations and the method is easy enough for even the littlest ones in your life to join in and help.
You can add whatever Easter treats you desire to this mix, jelly beans, gummies, chocolate eggs, or staples like pretzels, nuts, and candy bars.
I had some basic multi coloured sprinkles on hand but you can find a fun variety of pastel or spring themed sprinkles at your local baking goods or party supply store.
2 bags plain microwave popcorn
1 cup candy coated chocolate eggs
1 cup candy coated peanut butter eggs
3 tbsp butter
3 cups mini marshmallows
Cook both bags of popcorn as instructed. Pour in a large casserole dish. Allow to cool for easy handling.
Add both types of candy eggs to dish. Don't mix yet or your eggs will just sink to the bottom.
In a medium sauce pan over low heat melt butter completely. Add marshmallows and stir continually until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 1-2 mins. This is just to let the mixture cool enough for mixing.
Pour marshmallows onto your popcorn mix and combine. Using your hands is the easiest method.
Once all popcorn and candy is coated top with sprinkles and decorate with icing.
Serve to all your little bunnies!
