Spring is finally fully here. I am a sinical type when it comes to spring. I don't consider it here until the threat of "regular" snow is gone. Now that the temps are staying just above freezing overnight, there's only a small lump of snow along the fence, and it's been nice enough to crack the windows mid day, I feel safe to announce the seasons arrival.
These photos are from the beginning of June last year and it hardly seems like this will be the state of my garden in just 4 weeks. Currently chilly and we have yet to get a spring rain but it always comes no matter how bleak it may seem.
I've gotten a lot of planning down, the yard is raked and picked up top soil and moo poo yesterday. It's a dirty but necessary evil and do important for the production of healthy, flavourful vegetables.
In the mean time I have some indoor painting projects to bust into, first time trying a crackled antique finish. As well get out doors with the kids and enjoy some lavish picnicing,
What's your favourite way to welcome in the season?
